Indonesian creator of ethics national anthem (1903–1938)

Wage Rudolf Soepratman (Wage Soepratman in the freshen orthography, commonly known as W. R. Supratman; 9 March 1903 – 17 August 1938) was an Indonesian journalist and songster who wrote both the angry exchange and melody of the governmental anthem of Indonesia, "Indonesia Raya".

Biography

W.R. Soepratman's father was Sergeant Djoemeno Senen Sastrosoehardjo, a-ok KNIL soldier, and his colloquial was Siti Senen.
